Homeowners in Southern California are erecting sandbag barricades

Residents from Chino Hills to Sylmar and Santa Barbara are quickly taking measures to help channel storm runoff and debris flows away from homes near Southern California areas ravaged by wildfires. The heaviest rain is expected Tuesday and Wednesday. The National Weather Service says up to two inches of rain is expected in Southern California mountain areas. Kern County is also expected to receive measureable precipatation from the storm. bc
