Man shot to death driving car on California Ave.

21 year-old Keshawn Black was the operator of an Oldsmobile that was traveling westbound on California Avenue with his Brother, Charles. When they passed the intersection of P Street at California Avenue, an unknown vehicle fired shots into the driver side. Projectiles entered the vehilce door and struck the decedent. The passenger was able to negotiate the vehicle westbound on California Avenue and came to rest at Chester Avenue. The operator of the Oldsmoble was transported to Kern Medical Center where he arrived at 0042 hours and was pronounced dead in the emergency department.
